Egypt is one of the most famous and most populace countries in North Africa. Through Egypt runs the longest river in the world, the Nile River. The Nile has been the main influence on its culture and civilization. Egypt’s culture has thousands of years of recorded history. Ancient Egypt was among the earliest civilizations and we continue to unravel many of it mysteries to this day. For millennia, Egypt has maintained a strikingly complex and stable culture that has influenced later cultures including: Europe, the Middle East and Africa. After the Pharaonic era, Egypt came under the influence of Hellenism, Christianity and Islamic culture. Today, many aspects of Egypt’s ancient culture exist in interaction with newer element, including the influence of modern Western culture.
