Korea

Korea, be inspired! Having a 5,000 year-old history, Korea is steeped in a rich and distinct culture. Derived from Confucianism and Buddhism, Korean culture is manifested in the style of housing, architecture, costumes, and beliefs. With the promotion of Hallyu Wave and a dynamic atmosphere, Korea is catching up with global trends.
In Edmonton, one can find traces of its rich culture in its arts, crafts and entertainment at the Servus Heritage Festival.
This year, you will be treated to traditional Korean Dance through Korean body gestures; Taekwondo which enhances ones spirit and life through training ones body and mind; traditional arts and crafts; SamulNori (live Korean drum performance) that basically refers to the four instruments played by musicians; and Korean food like Kimchi, Bul-go-gi, Honey Pan-cake and Korean Tea. Come visit the Korean Pavilion to sample our culture.
