Hungary
The ancestors of today’s Hungarians made their way to the Carpathian Mountain basin in central Europe well over a thousand years ago. In the early 1900s, descendants of these early Hungarians began to arrive and settle in the Edmonton area, where they have continued to maintain a rich cultural heritage and vibrant local presence. Join us for the sights, sounds, and flavours of the ‘magyars’ at our Hungarian pavilion. Sample our paprika-infused main courses and our delectable desserts. See intricate embroideries and handmade treasures from across Hungary. And celebrate the artistry and creativity of our new generations as they perform the csárdás and other energetic folkdances to the strains of traditional violin melodies. We are proud to continue our involvement at this unique festival, and we hope that you continue to support us here as well.
