Ecuador

Ecuador comes from the Spanish word equator. It is one of the smallest countries in South America with four distinct regions: the Costa, Sierra, Oriente, and Galapagos. Due to its location many expect Ecuador’s climate to be extremely warm, but each region’s temperature is affected by sea currents and altitude. Over 13 million people reside within Ecuador and add to its diverse land and unique history. Ecuador’s national flag consists of three colors: yellow, blue and red and is recognized as one of the oldest flags in the world! The emblem in the middle distinguishes it from other flags and consists of the condor, snow mountain, river, boat, olive leaves, and sun. The condor represents the country’s power and strength; the snow mountain the beauty of its waters; the boat its trade; the olive leaves mean peace and beauty; and the suns meaning signifies the God of the Ancestors. Ecuador has so much heritage that we wish to share with you! Come and enjoy our mouth-watering food and entertainment provided by the Aymara Nuca Llacta Dancers. Bienvenidos!
