CTV Heritage Hero

CTV Edmonton and the Servus Heritage Festival would like to thank and recognize individuals who make amazing contributions towards the betterment of the multi-cultural community in which we all live.

Together we have created the “Heritage Hero” Award. Formerly the “CTV Citizen of the Year”, this prestigious award is presented to a person who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to promoting awareness, understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity. Each year one individual who truly exemplifies this mission is honoured on the Monday of the Festival. As well, their story is featured on CTV News in Edmonton, helping to bring further awareness to the important contribution these citizens make to our region’s overall well-being.

WHO ARE THE CANDIDATES?

  • A person who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to cultural diversity
  • A person who is willing, responsible and accountable for their work
  • The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the Edmonton Heritage Festival Association. (Assist in promoting public awareness, understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity)

A letter of recognition must be completed and signed by two (2) individuals by the deadline of July 11th 2014.
